The City of West Des Moines is one of the fastest growing Cities in Iowa. The Department of Public Works provides Operational and Engineering related services. Operational services include street and sewer maintenance, street cleaning, drainage facilities, City building and equipment maintenance, snow removal, dust control and mosquito spraying. Engineering services include the design and construction of new roads and sewers, review of subdivision plats, traffic engineering and oversees the construction and contract administration for all public improvements in the City.
