Each individual who volunteers at West Des Moines Human Services has unique skills and life experiences to offer; all of which are necessary and valuable in meeting the needs of other individuals in the community. Working together we can accomplish so much. If you have four hours per week and would be willing to commit to volunteering for six months or more, we have a rewarding experience to offer you. As well as the ongoing programming, food pantry, clothing closet and office duties, our agency is involved in special projects throughout the year. Volunteers are greatly appreciated participating in the Iowa Senior Games, fund raisers, mailings, holiday programs, and drives of specific program items.
The volunteers at West Des Moines Human Services take pride in the work they do as a team making a difference in the community. Clients and staff alike appreciate their dedication to our programs. The caring smiles of our volunteers are present each day of the week working in every area of outreach. Because of the generous donation of their time, this agency is able to meet the needs of our clients more efficiently.
